After scrolling through Pinterest I was able to gather a collection of double spread page designs that inspire me. I found the following better suited for my magazine.
I really like this double spread layout as a lot of importance was given to both photographs and textual content. A bold font has been used for the title of the article so as to grab the readers attention. Photographs taken follow the same colour palette and style in terms of background, clothing etc. This layout is very organized and has a minimalist aesthetic, which will be easy on the eyes of the reader when they read the article.

I found both the above double spread designs very unique and interesting. They have just featured one large photograph, yet they hold the attention of the audience. The placements of the pictures spread over two pages also adds to the aesthetic. Bold text has been used for titles and important quotes from the interviewee.
However I was not very enthusiastic about trying this design as I felt that it would be limiting in terms of incorporating photographs. However, I would do this layout as my opening page for the feature article if the double spread extends for more than 2 pages.
